About the Author

Robyn Minty, a passionate poet, has long expressed her creativity through verse and prose. Her early poems found their way into publications, showcasing her talent. Writing serves as her refuge from life’s chaos, allowing her to meticulously transcribe her thoughts onto paper. Now, her poetic journey culminates in an anthology—a collection that aims to inspire others.

Her poetry reflects both hope and introspection. It captures life’s blessings and melancholy, inviting readers to connect with nature. Robyn’s positive outlook shines through her verses, a beacon for those battling negativity. Her book is a testament to hope, a sanctuary where words and visuals intertwine, inviting readers to pause, absorb, and appreciate the beauty of her art.

Robyn’s collection weaves together past and present, drawing inspiration from the natural world. Her words, like silent pauses, nurture the soul, inviting readers to connect with their own thoughts and feelings.

But this anthology is more than just poetry—it’s a collaboration. Robyn’s dear friend Vicki, a photographer, breathes life into the collection with her beautiful images. Their shared history makes this endeavour even more meaningful.

Hope Inspired is a beacon—a vessel of hope and calm. Robyn hopes it touches your heart, resonating with the authenticity of nature.

About the Photographer

Vicki, an Award-wining photographer in Gippsland Victoria, received her first camera—a Kodak point-and-shoot—at the age of 10. Inspired by her father and grandfather, both amateur photographers, she embarked on a photographic journey. Her first SLR camera, her father’s old Pentax Spotmatic, accompanied her on a seven-month adventure to Africa, where she documented wildlife and nature. This experience solidified her love for photography and the natural world.

For Vicki, photography is more than a creative outlet; it’s a profound connection with the environment, nature, and the planet. Standing before Mother Nature’s vast oceans, camera in hand, she feels like a humble observer. To create impactful images, she immerses herself in the environment, breathing with it, feeling its essence. Vicki aims to capture the true spirit of Mother Nature, minimizing editing to preserve the authenticity of her experiences.

Exploring various photographic techniques, Vicki discovered the power of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). Through ICM, she creates soft seascapes that mirror the coast’s calming effect—slower, more connected, and at ease. Some of these evocative images grace this book.

Photography, combined with nature, becomes a meditative journey for Vicki—a soul-nourishing practice that brings her peace. She believes Hope Inspired, will resonate with others, because it’s infused with authentic nature, meeting the reader wherever they are on their own path.
